Tu veux une tranchette?

No, je veux deux tranches, s'il vous plait! Manic and I have been spending the last three days in Angers staying with his mate Jean. It has actually cooled down quit a bit with wind and rain and the Alps saw a bit of snow above 2500 meters. We have spent the last two days enjoying the chateaux of the Loire Valley and fine homemade french cuisine. Dinner the other night lasted from 10pm until 2:30am with five courses!!!

Our time in Bordeaux was enjoyable; but unfortunately there isnt much to do in the city! The last afternoon we were in town we went to a quaint little vin shop and indulged in some dégustation (wine tasting) and cultured ourselves. It was good fun, especially because it was free!!!

Our time in Spain was great!!! Valencia is a super fun laid back city...well known for its pyrotechnics. Everyday there seemed to be a firey celebration for something. The night life was also amazing....chilling at the clubs until 4am sipping glasses of Agua de Valencia is not uncommon. Manic and I spent the last day walking down the river playing catch with unripe authentic Valencian oranges....it was good fun.

The night in Sevilla was expensive, after the bitch at the hotel ripped us off for our room, but not after Manic gave her a good bullocking...in Spanish. Thats not all....not impressed we left the room in dissarray; pictures were turned upside down, lights and A/C left on, towel used for ass flossing, piss and hair in the sink, and to top it off...we had our own interior decor of toilet paper strung about....oopps!! Good thing they didnt have any of our passport or credit card numbers! See we were thinking ahead! That night we also met nobjockey...a daft enghlishman from London who preceeded to have a debate about US geography with me...AN AMERICAN. His argument was further faulted by the fact that he has necer been to the states...bloody english!! Turns out he was on the same train the next morning sitting across the isle from us. I didnt talk to him the entire eight hour journey because i was so offended by him the night before. I hope he got the message, but he was thicker then a Gerkhas foreskin, so I doubt it.

Our journey from Lagos to Sevilla was prehistoric to say the least. We left Lagos at 7am: a train, ferry, bus, another train and Manics nextdoor neighbors dogs garden gnomes bicycle later we arrived in Sevilla at 9pm, with two extra english girl in tow. Oh what fun!!

Lagos was a fun touristy Australian provence in the south of Portugal....I swear there were more Aussie there then in Perth. We spent Manics Bday surfing...and it was amazing!!! I had a little trouble leaning too far forward because youre suppose to lean back...it was all those years of snowbording catching up with me!!!

Before Lagos we spent two days in Lisbon laying on the beach, wondering around town, which I think I already elaborated on. It is now 2am and we are off to Luxembourg tomorrow and then back to Amsterdam for a night before moving on for the last four days. Miss you all!!! Hugs and kisses!!!

Countdown to coming home...boo! :(

Only fourteen days and I will be on my way home! I am definately ready for a home cooked meal and a shower that is bigger then an oil drum, but I will be sad to leave...anyways lets not dwell.

Manic and I are off to Bordeaux again this evening to meet back up with Beccy. Will will then jet across to Lake Geneva and the who knows. I just have to end up back in Paris August 22. Alright...all is well. Manic is waiting for the computer, so I am going to run. Hugs and kisses!!!

I am still alive!

Manic and I are in Lagos,Portugal now on the south coast and it is très beau. Tommorow is Manic's Bday, the big 22!!! In celebration we will be going surfing and then getting drunk!!!!

Lisbon was alright...very laid back, dingy, slightly boring city, but at least it was cheap. Except the bloke at the resturant that tried to charge us 8 euros for bread and butter. But being the anglophones that we are, americans, english, aussies, and kiwis that were in our dinner party, we argued until he just couldnt be bothered anymore and took the money off the bill. To top it off, in good form, we left him a cent tip. Manic then got offered some cocaine...again, its quite a common occourance....surprised by the off we told a local about it and his response was...oh...under 10grams, no problem, its legal. Dont worry...we didnt indulge in this cultural experience.

Madrid was a fun city at night. We found a cheap bar with free tapas and got pissed on 15 euros. There wasnt much to do during the day, but we still walked around and saw all the sights. Its a very pretty city.

Bordeaux was our stop before to see Manics friend Beccy. We didnt do much, mostly just drank and rested. This is were the caca dans l'eau incident happened. We plan on stopping again when beccy can offer us freeaccomidations. Free is good... Money tighter then a sheeps asshole. Never fee manic has his guitar, so we plan on busking with my horrid voice and repritiore of four songs. Itllwork.

Paris was before Bordeux. Seeing the tour was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You had to be there!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tthink thats all thecatchingup i had to do. Oh yeah.. I forgot to mentionZurich! What fun! I got stuck there becasue I couldnt get on the night trainto paris, and instead of staying in dodgy Milan, I decided to head north. The only train i could get was to Zurich Switerzland, so off I went! On the train I met a nice aussie going to spend her last few days in Zurich with friends before heading home. Having no place to stay and know i couldnt shell out 80 usd for a room, she suggestedI try the McDOnalds across the street from the train station becasue she thought is was open 24hours. Upon arrival, I found the McDo and planted my butt. Just as my luck would have it, it was a Friday and the McDo was open until 6am!!!!! So I got some food and ate, wrote in my journal, and made friends with the many drunk people whocame in. TO my surprise there was a steady flow of people until I left around 530, just as the sun was rising. It was one of the oddest nights of my life, but I makes for a good story.

Anyways, all is well. Miss you all tons. HUGS AND KISSES!!!!

PS. booked my plane ticket to Tennesse! It only cost me 10usd! Go Bears!!!

Italia! Italia! Italia!

Italy winning the WORLD CUP was AMAZING!!! I was partying in the streets with some fellow American girls until 4am! I got some italian guy to drive me around the piazza on his motorbike! There was a traffic jam so we started driving the wrong direction...it was awesome!

Missed the morning train to Bari to catch the ferry. Decided to spend another day in Napoli becasue there isn't anything in Bari.

In Bari now waiting to catch the ferry tonight. Met up with some fellow Californias and we're hanging together.

Hugs and kisses!

Il parla inglese?

Every conversation I've had today has begun with that and more often then not the answer has been no. Spent the day at Pompei and it was amazing...over run with tourists, but it's so huge, I didn't mind. I only minded whenpeople crawled over barries and stared picking up things...any archaeologist knows that is a big no no! It just erks me.

Tomorrow I am on my way to Bari in order to catch the boat to Greece!! YEY!!! Super excited about seeing Rich and having him take me sailing on a yacht!

Off to go make phone calls...mom..you better be home! Hugs and kisses!
